WebJul 31, 2024 · 1 Answer Sorted by: 4 I fixed the issue, which wasn't related to disk encryption: this laptop has the S0 sleep mode activated by default, but Linux supports S3 (suspend to RAM). To fix it, from BIOS → Energy switch the sleep mode from Windows (S0) to Linux (S3) and suspension to RAM starts working! Share Improve this answer Follow WebOct 14, 2024 · In essence Windows now has fully control over Power and Processor Settings without having to rely on the BIOS to handle such changes; thus making Standby S0 - S3 more or less obsolete. You can of course enable Standby S0 if you REALLY want it., most Modern Power Supplies do actually support it... it's just disabled / set to S3 Only by Default.
